Special effect finishes for aluminium mouldings

Alutefal produces aluminium mouldings and laminated items with surface finishes reproducing the appearance of wood, marble or even travertine, to cater for specific requisites for aesthetic value while offering superlative strength and functionality.
In response to an ever evolving market, Alutefal has developed a new range of special finishes, applied using an innovative painting process that can reproduce the natural veining of premium materials on aluminium mouldings and sheets.
Superior quality standards are guaranteed by the use of only high performance paints in compliance with the strictest international legislation, in addition to stringent quality control throughout the production process. The most critical stage in the entire production process occurs after the initial chemical pre-treatment and electrostatic powder coating stages, when the effect is transferred at high temperature into a previously applied layer of paint.
The use of polyester powders certified for outdoor applications in the sublimation printing process means that the mouldings produced are suitable for a wide variety of building applications.
Available in both bar (maximum length 7.00 metres) or sheet (maximum size, 1.50 x 4.00 metres) form, these special finish products are extremely durable and, normal cleaning aside, completely maintenance free.

A new liquid painting line for PVDF paints!

As of 1 February 2007, Alutefal will start operations with its new PVDF special painting line for aluminium profiles: it will be the first Italian company to be equipped with this kind of painting plant!

Alutefal's traditional plants for the powder-painting of aluminium profiles have now been supplemented by a new unique painting line in Italy, a liquid line for special PVDF paints which can support 2 painting cycles. PVDF 3 Met is based on metallic PVDF paints. The cycle has 3 coats:
1. 8 microns primer
2. 10 microns metallic pvdf base
3. 10 microns transparent topcoat .
The third transparent coat gives the finished product greater resistance to UV radiation as well as enhanced brightness and gloss.

The PVDF painting cycle is based on standard PVDF paints.
The cycle involves the application of two coats;
1. 10 microns primer
2. 15 microns topcoat PVDF.

PVDF means maximum resistance to atmospheric agents and top-end product performance in terms of elasticity and workability.

On request, Alutefal can issue guarantees of up to 25 years for its products.

Alutefal's PVDF painted profiles are available in metallic, iridescent and standard finishes.

This new manufacturing process enables Otefal Group to position itself on the market with profiles complementing its painted aluminium coils already produced internally.

This innovation from Alutefal comes on top of its already well-known features, i.e. prompt delivery, possibility of ordering even small quantities, availability of an unlimited range of colours, careful quality controls along the whole production cycle as well as an efficient and punctual pre- and post-sales service.

Its attention to technological development, quality and service have enabled it to develop its own sound customer base, which is now encouraging it to invest in new resources in order to provide even better service to own target market.
